The Mount Mora burial records were
computerized from the original record books by Barbara Turner,
assisted by Sharlene Miller. Barbara devoted six years to this task
in an effort to aid those who seek information about their ancestors
and to insure the preservation of the burial information in the
event the original books might be destroyed. (Records of
burials from 1851 to 1871 are missing. They are believed to have
been destroyed in a fire.) Mount Mora Cemetery Association is deeply
indebted to Mrs. Turner.
