| Brief Biography: Mrs. Anna E. Hamer, a resident of St. Joseph 65 years, died yesterday afternoon at the family home, 2801 South Eighteenth street. She was the widow of John Hamer, who died 27 years ago. Mrs. Hamer was a member of the Methodist church. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Mary E. Davis and Mrs. Martha H. Denise, both of Kansas City; two sons, J. L. and W. E. Hamer of St. Joseph; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The body is at Fleeman's mortuary where funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. The Rev. John Riesenmey will officiate and burial will be in Mount Mora Cemetery. -- From St. Joseph Gazette, March 12, 1943, p. 3, column 3.
