Brief Biography: Dr. Hall was born in Portersville, PA Sept 10th, 1842. His parents are unknown. His father was from Belfast, Ireland, his mother was born in the US. He was a surgeon in the US Army during the Civil War. He studied medicine at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia and Western Reserve Medical College at Cleveland. Then he attended Cleveland Homeopathic Medical College which he graduated from. He practiced medicine in Pennslyvania, then in Chagrin Falls, OH until the war broke out. In 1865 after the war Doctor Hall located in St. Joseph, MO. He practiced until 1885 then established a sanitarium at the northwest corner of Third and Faraon streets. He married Mary Edelie "Eddie" Carter daughter of Robert Swift Carter, sister of Mrs. Isaac T. Hosea. She died June 2, 1903. They had one son Dr. Edward Parks Hill who practiced in Kansas City. Dr. Hall died at his home. Dr. Hall was a member of many organizations. He was buried in Mount Mora Cemetery.
