Dorothy Dillingham Douglas, 91, St. Joseph, died Thursday, November 10, 2011 at her home.
She was born February 29, 1921 to Edward "Dude" and Nancy Lou (Miller) Dillingham in Platte City, Missouri. She married Richard W. Douglas April 22, 1943. He preceded her in death December 8, 2003. Dorothy was proud to have been married to Richard for 60 years.
Dorothy was a homemaker and longtime member of First Presbyterian Church, where she attended Wednesday Bible Study. She also was a member of P.E.O., the Flower Society, D.A.R., and a local Mahjong Group. She especially enjoyed her family, friends, and church.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Mabel Mae Dillingham.
Survivors: sons, Edward Douglas (Marla), Chillicothe, Missouri and Richard Douglas, Bowling Green, Ohio; grandchildren, Jared, Aaron (Micah), Kaylee; great-grandchildren, London Beth Douglas; and several other close family members.
Services: 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Mount Mora Cemetery. The Family will receive friends 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. The Family suggests memorial gifts to First Presbyterian Church.
